Disability Support Worker -Individual
Position: Disability Support Worker -Individual
Hours: 35 hours per week
Closing Date: June 17, 2010
Duties:
- Provide weekly assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Participate /Plan daily outings which would include the START Day Program, activities within the community or at home; all within their Service Plan.
- Ensure individuals are treated with dignity and respect; assist with their decision making.
- Ensure that their environment is safe at all times.
- Responsible to complete Daily Log Book and Quarterly Reports.
Qualifications:
- Relevant certificate/diploma in Human Services &/or experience working with people with developmental disabilities
- RCMP Clearance
- First Aid/CPR
- Must possess valid driver’s license, abstract and vehicle insurance
- Must have own vehicle/mileage to be paid at the rate of 40 cents per km up to maximum of $120.00 monthly.
