Job Description
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day
Salary: $9.62 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Medical Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Children's Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years)
Work Setting: Own home
Specific Skills:
- Supervise and care for children,
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children,
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods,
- Help children with homework,
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children,
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development,
- Read to children,
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals,
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties,
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents,
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home,
- Tend to emotional well-being of children,
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents,
- Take children to and from school and to appointments
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Confidential security clearance, Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Child welfare check
Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Public transportation is available
Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home, Room and board provided, Willing to relocate
