Heavy construction-equipment operator
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time leading Full Time, On Call, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: To be negotiated
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school, Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Driver's License (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting / Industry Experience: Road construction, Oil and Gas Well Sites
Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment
Additional Skills: Prepare accident reports
Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail
Work Site Environment: Outdoors
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver's licence
Essential Skills: Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing
Other Information: Class 3 or 1 license required, candidate must be versatile enough to move to different pieces of equipment, mechanical experience necessary, provide Ft. McMurray address when applying.
