- Title: Truck Driver
- Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime
- Salary: $27.00 Hourly for 42 hours per week, Other Benefits
- Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
- Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta
Skill Requirements:
- Education: Not required
- Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Driver's Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
- Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)
- Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local
- Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports
- Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone
- Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
- Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
- Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
- Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning
