Skill Requirements:
- Education: Completion of high school
- Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
- Experience: Experience an asset
- Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
- Work Setting: Property management companies
- Area of Specialization: Town and carriage homes, Apartments
- Type of Technical Experience: Exterior property maintenance, Interior property maintenance, Grounds maintenance
- Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Windows, MS Word, Excel, Electronic Mail
- Specific Skills: Negotiate or approve rental or lease of properties on behalf of property owner, Ensure terms of lease agreements are met, Prepare and administer contracts for property services, such as maintenance, Co-ordinate implementation of repairs, maintenance and renovation, Monitor progress and cost of work for property owners, Compile and maintain records on operating expenses and income, Prepare expense and income reports, Ensure response to trouble calls from clients or tenants
- Additional Skills: Hire and supervise rental agents and building superintendents, Hire and supervise support staff performing operational, clerical or maintenance duties
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
- Ability to Supervise: 3 - 4 people
