Your experience at troubleshooting and repairing computer related problems provides clients with the confidence and trust in services and delivery. Repairs are done right the first time and the guidance you provide to our customers shows your understanding of their needs. Your familiarity with and ability to setup, install and maintain various, notebooks, desktops, printers, network and operating systems elevates you to a trusted advisor status. Your strong communication skills and professionalism demonstrate your superior client service skills and the pride you take in your workmanship. While your focus is on computer technologies, as a contributor to our team environment you will perform a variety of other duties as required.
Essential job functions:
- Troubleshoot PC hardware and printer problems and perform PC hardware and printer repairs and upgrades.
- Complete all paperwork related to service calls.
- Ensure you are current with changing technologies.
- Generate service tickets as required
- Care and maintain all assigned company assets such as vehicles, tools, etc.
- Provide advice when assisting users with the purchase of hardware and/or software
- Perform network administration including maintaining accounts, privileges, etc.
Qualifications, Experience & Education:
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in or related to computer technology.
Minimum Requirements:
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in or related to computer technology.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Previous experience performing computer and printer break/fix support.
Any one of the following certifications:
- A+, Server+, and Network+
Preference will be given to individuals who have an additional major manufacturer Service Authorization (such as Compaq, IBM, HP, Toshiba and Lexmark
