As a Senior Account Manager for Business and Personal Markets, you will contribute to meeting your sales and market plan by attracting, retaining and growing profitable client relationships. You will be assigned a portfolio of high value clients whose personal financial needs are already with RBC. You will also be accountable for acquiring new clients through business development activities such as developing and nurturing a strong network of referrals. You will build long-term client relationships and trust using your relationship sales skills to manage a portfolio of small business clients with both business and personal financial needs. You will provide solutions and credit and investment advice designed to meet your clients' financial goals. You will develop new business through prospecting and seeking referrals, leveraging relationships with service partners, group partners and the local market.
Key Accountabilities:
- Grow and retain your assigned portfolio of personal banking relationships
- Acquire the business banking relationship from your existing personal clients
- Grow and retain the newly acquired business banking relationship
- Acquire new client relationships
Job Requirements:
Knowledge/Accreditations:
- A valid mutual funds license is mandatory, either Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Demonstrated knowledge of personal financial products and services to meet medium/high complexity personal client needs
AND/OR
· Demonstrated knowledge of small business financial products, services and credit analysis to meet low/medium complexity small business client needs
Experience:
· Minimum one year of proven experience in the financial services industry in either personal or commercial markets is mandatory
· Proven sales success demonstrated by meeting sales targets
· Demonstrated success building trust and maintaining long-term client relationships
· Demonstrated success with business development activities including prospecting and referrals
· Knowledge of financial analysis and risk assessment are considered an asset

- Excellent organizational skills
Education:
- A post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration, or related experience is required.
