Fort McMurray Provincial Court has an exciting opportunity for an individual who is interested in becoming a key contributor to the administration of justice. We are currently recruiting for two permanent Judicial Clerks to join our team.
Under the direction of the Court Administrator, you will be responsible for a wide variety of para-legal clerical duties on a rotational basis. Duties include examining and processing documents, answering inquiries, processing payments received and entry of information on a computer system. You will also be responsible for providing clerical support to the Judiciary in the courtroom by preparing files, opening and closing court, reading charges, administering oaths, maintaining care and control of exhibits, operating recording equipment and maintaining a log of the proceedings. Word processing and good keyboarding skills are required to excel in this position.
Qualifications: High School Diploma plus some related office experience preferably in a legal environment, cash experience would be an asset. Candidates with higher qualifications will be considered at the higher level and salary. Equivalencies may be considered.
Note: Must have own reliable transportation and be willing to fly in a small aircraft. Fort McMurray Allowance of $1040.00 per month is provided. You will be eligible for an attraction bonus. This competition may be used to fill future vacancies.
