Job Description
Public Works Department
This is a permanent, full-time position working forty (40) hours per week.
Under general supervision, provide short/long range planning, direct contractors involved in the daily maintenance operations of capital projects to ensure cost, quantity and quality control. Develop and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs and manage the Maintenance Management system
Qualifications:
- A Journeyman Trade Certificate or a two (2) year Technical related diploma are required or an equivalent combination of directly related post secondary course work in a related field may be considered.
- Project management and planning course work are definite assets.
- Knowledgeable in all Trades is a definite asset.
- Four (4) years directly related experience in a preventative and predictive maintenance, project management field to include financial planning, and managing a Maintenance Management System.
- Sound working knowledge of Municipal infrastructure, including Water and Sewer Treatment Systems, mechanical, electrical, instrumental and structural equipment contained in our facilities is required.
- Demonstrable proficiency in the operation of personal computers and related software an asset.
- Valid Alberta class five (5) driver's license. (Clear driving record an asset.)
- Proven planning, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to work outdoors, in all weather conditions and in an unsanitary environment.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform all of the duties of the job daily.
Salary $36.59 (Probationary Rate)
$40.15 – 43.06 (Permanent Rates)
