Description
Keyano College is currently seeking a Director of Facilities Operations to assume this key operating position. This is a full-time permanent position commencing immediately.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Administration, the incumbent will be responsible for the overall leadership, administration, planning, engineering and, project management for the College’s Facilities department including maintenance of all buildings and grounds, custodial services, Utilities plant and Security. This position is also responsible for the planning, design and supervision of all "in house" renovation projects and specific capital projects. As the Director you will be responsible for overseeing and controlling an operating budget in excess of 3.5 million dollars. The incumbent has many other duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to managing the College's insurance policies, ensuring property records and contracts are kept updated, control the telephone system across all campuses as well as sit on various College committees.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess an Electrical, Civil or Architectural Engineering designation or Technician/Technologist status (C-Tech) (CET) and journeyman trade certification. Equivalencies will be given consideration for this position. Background in HVAC, Power Engineering, as well as experience in Digital CCTV Systems and Building management control systems would be considered a definite asset. The ability to read and interpret drawings and working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred for this position. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), diplomacy and the ability to respond to a diverse client group are a must.
