Description
 
Keyano College, the largest land owner in Fort McMurray, is planning to undertake a number of significant real estate developments to provide housing and other facilities in support of its academic programs. At this time, we are seeking a qualified person with a background in planning and real estate development, to join the college in Fort McMurray, one of Canada’s most exciting and growing communities.
 
Responsibilities
 
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Administration, the Executive Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, administration, planning, and management of the College’s real estate and property development initiatives. These are expected to include new student and market housing, an urban mixed use development, and a large scale community land development. The value of these projects is in excess of 100 million dollars.
 
Qualifications
 
The successful candidate will possess considerable real estate, property development, and related planning experience. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), diplomacy, and the ability to respond to a diverse client group are a must. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the public or institutional sectors, combined with private sector experience. A degree in engineering, planning or a program related to property development will be an asset.
