Position Summary:
 
L. Robert provides heavy equipment and trucks repairs, welding and fabricating, equipment rentals and parts sales to a wide range of industries in the Wood Buffalo region.  L.Robert is currently looking for a reliable, self-motivated Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians for its town shop and Fort McKay location.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
 
The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing reliable maintenance of company and client owned off-road equipment. You will ensure that the maintenance of all equipment is being performed and documented as per manufacturer specifications.
 
Thorough knowledge of heavy construction equipment is required. Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems would be an asset. You will troubleshoot and inspect equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Test repaired equipment for proper maintenance, clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
 
Role Specifications:

  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Interprovincial Red Seal Ticket
  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Valid and clean class 5 license
  • Off-Road equipment experience is a definite asset
  • Speak, read and write English
  • Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing is required
  • Highly motivated and career oriented
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Highway truck/mine equipment experience is a definite asset
  • You demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to Health and Safety
  • Must have residence in Fort McMurray as camp accommodations are not provided
