Position Summary:
CEDA International Corporation is seeking a Contracts Coordinator to be based out of our Fort McMurray office. This position is responsible for performing a full range of contract administration, coordination and management activities with key focus on contractual; terms and conditions, obligations, liabilities, and risks. The individual will document exceptions and clarifications in consultation with CEDA Legal, CEDA Business Units and corporate departments to be included in the bid responses.
Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include;
- Coordinate pre and post award bid reviews on contractual obligations. Document recommendations or exceptions.
- Conduct pre and post award contract administration and management functions ensuring compliance with the contractual terms and conditions.
- Evaluate bid packages using commercial and qualitative analysis.
- Facilitate project execution, monitoring and closeout processes.
- Assist with Contractual Audits.
- Liaise with clients, CEDA business units and legal to understand subcontracting needs of the proposal.
- Review contractual terms and conditions and coordinate highlighted business concerns with Legal, Business unit/s and client procurement.
- Attend and participate in various meetings to address or provide advice on contracts issues.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced CMS Projects team members.
- Assist with Initiation, development, management and completion of medium to high magnitude bid proposals for CEDA affiliates.
- Facilitate and schedule proposal meetings.
- Lead proposal planning activities and coordinates activities with proposal team
- Provide updated status reports, resolve issues and mitigate risks under general supervision, escalate challenges
- Communicate with client as single point of contact representing CEDA on assigned proposal
- Assist in Preparing and submitting proposal responses such as expression of interest, letter to decline, extension requests, questionnaires etc.
- Assist in Reviewing, Preparing and Submitting Pre-Qualification.
Role Specifications:
- 2+ years experience in contracts administration, coordination and management with progressive responsibility
- Undergraduate degree, Business or Commerce preferred
- Formal training / certification in commercial law
- Ability to read and understand complex contractual documents and articulate complex ideas verbally and in writing
- Advance knowledge of contractual terms and condition terminology
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office Application, emails, databases, adobe professional, Visio etc.
- Ability to work with all levels of management
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and Detailed oriented with developed communication skills
- Possess the ability to assimilate directions and execute tasks with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate a high degree of discretion and ability to protect company confidential information and posses a high degree of integrity
- Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to Health and Safety
Ideal Candidate:
- Formal training / certifications in Contracts administration and/or management
- Knowledge within procurement, contracts and commercial law in Oil & Gas Industry
- Residence in Fort McMurray
- Knowledge of HSE Policies/procedures and OH&S safety regulations
- Well organized work ethics with time management skills
- Team player with friendly demeanor
- Project Management Professional (PMP) training is an asset
