Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the implementation and administration of HS&E policies, processes and systems and monitor compliance with all relevant legislation, rules and regulations.
• Understand and anticipate project / department specific business drivers and influence, facilitate and participate in the development and implementation of project / department HS&E plans, goals and objectives.
• Participate in the development of HS&E performance measures, interpret results and coach/influence staff on how to improve HS&E performance.
• Lead by demonstrating the required behaviours, attitudes and mindset to further develop an already strong corporate safety culture.
• Provide consultation and assist in risk assessment, hazard analysis and job planning.
• Conduct safety audits, coordinate audit recommendations, and assist in the development of corrective action plans in consultation with project / department management.
• Provide support to project / department management and staff in the interpretation and application of HS&E rules, regulations and legislation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adherence to all applicable legislation, standards and guidelines, and influence the adoption of standards when applicable.
• Maintain knowledge of current HS&E strategies, trends and technologies by developing industry working relationships and participating in exchange groups, associations and committees.

• Minimum Six (6) years experience in Health, Safety & Environment Management Systems.
• Industrial construction, pipeline, piling and/or mining industry experience preferred.
• Certificate, diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety Accreditation as an OH&S professional (i.e. CRSP).
