Key Position Functions:
The primary function of this position will be to take pipe loss thickness measurements on customer pipeline assets utilizing state-of-the-art CiDRA technology. This position will interface with the CiDRA corporate office and Oilsands clients in Ft. McMurray.
Responsibilities will also include working with customer’s inspectors and reliability personnel to analyze and report data that will be used to optimize and schedule pipe rotations and change-outs. This position works with the latest in advanced technology and innovation – electronics, software and hardware systems. This person will provide training to end users and technical sales reps and provide customer feedback to the product development teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma and at least two to four years experience working with UT devices and measurements
- Two year technical degree and a minimum of two years experience working with UT devices and measurements
- Certification to CGSB UT standards is required
- Field experience in oil sands or similar industrial environment
- Minimum physical requirements must be met for safety purposes

- Must be able to mentor and develop junior technicians
- Proven computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Word and Excel
