Position Summary
 
Jacobs Industrial Services Ltd is currently accepting resumes for the position of HSE Professional. This is a field-based position, working at the one of our sites near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The position reports to the HSE Manager.
 
The primary accountability of an HSE Professional is to provide technical support through the coaching and mentoring of Maintenance and Projects staff to assist them in meeting their responsibilities with regard to the implementation of Jacobs Industrial Services Health & Safety Program.
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting audits, safety reviews and incident investigations
  • Perform daily surveillance for compliance with the Jacobs Safety   Program
  • Assist in investigation and reporting of incidents and complaints
  • Participate in regular safety and quality meetings
  • Responsible for new employee safety orientations
  • Recommend improvements to HS&E tools, processes, policies and    training
  • Monitor sub-contractors compliance to safety standards
Qualifications
  • Certified National Safety Officer (NCSO) or other recognized safety certification
  • Two years experience in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of the concepts and principles of health, safety and environment
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and other related software
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Willing to work  overtime
This position would be based in FortMcMurray
