Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced, energetic and self-motivated Petroleum Account Manager to service our clients in the Fort McMurray area. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, Oil Sands & Outsourcing, this position is responsible for supporting and expanding Maxxam market share in the Petroleum industry through growth of existing and generation of new client business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Meet regularly with Fort McMurray area customers
- Undertake a strong leadership role on key regional and national target accounts
- Formulate and meet sales plans consistent with regional and corporate goals
- Minimize account losses through effective service and business relationship development
- Participate in marketing programs and promotion of new and existing products and services
- Control expenses effectively and meet expense budgets
- Complete reporting requirements on time
- Provide revenue projections for Fort McMurray area as required for annual budgets
- Safely drive to customers' sites - extensive driving on highway and secondary roads is required
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Minimum 2 years post secondary education in a science related field
- 3-5 years of technical sales experience is preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills
- Exhibits strong knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas business in the Western region
- Must have a valid driver's licence and demonstrate safe driving record

This is not a fly-in/fly-out position; the role is permanently based in Fort McMurray, AB and surrounding area
