Job Description
Noralta Lodge Ltd operates many camp style lodges year round throughout northern Alberta, and has many positions available in our efficiently run facilities.
Selected candidates will work on a 21/7 or 14/7 shift rotation as assigned by the Employer. Transportation is provided from Edmonton to lodges therefore preference may be given to applicants that are Alberta residents. Food & Lodging is provided while on shift rotation. Full 100% company paid benefits and an employee/employer shared RRSP program are both available after successful completion of the required 6 month probationary period. Positions may be dependent on successful pre-access testing.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary certificate or diploma in a cooking program is an asset;
- Minimum 3 years experience of cooking for high quantities of people;
- Food Safe certification required before starting the position;
- Valid Standard First Aid certification preferred.

Primary Purpose Of The Position:
- Prepare breakfasts daily in a timely manner while ensuring quality & presentation are met at all times.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Prepare breakfast items on trays, buffet inserts and on the cold line daily at specified times;
- Ensure quality, presentation and timing of all breakfast items is met as assigned;
- Prepare fresh puddings and yogurts daily and organize in coolers neatly;
- Usage of stove and ovens to cook breakfast items;
- Assist with daily takedown of breakfast line & finish all closing duties assigned by kitchen supervisor;
- Rotate ingredients and supplies; communicate to 1stCook weekly with breakfast items to be ordered;
- Clean all pans and utensils used during the cooking/preparing process when required to do so;
- Ensure all equipment and work surfaces are kept clean and sanitized for the next shift;
- Assist with weekly cleaning of the kitchen equipment;
- Assist other staff with the unloading of groceries when required to do so including receiving, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas;
- Attend to guest complaints in a quick & professional manner while keeping other guests best interests in mind;
- Fulfill other duties as requested by Supervisor that may be required;
- Act as an ambassador for Noralta Lodge in all dealings with the public and staff;
- To be familiar with and carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with Health & Safety policies approved by Noralta Lodge along with Occupational Health & Safety regulations;

Daily Hours Of Work: 12 hour night shift 9:00 pm to 9:00 am
