Job Description
Noralta Lodge Ltd operates many camp style lodges year round throughout northern Alberta, and has many positions available in our efficiently run facilities.
Selected candidates will work on a 21/7 or 14/7 shift rotation as assigned by the Employer. Transportation is provided from Edmonton to lodges therefore preference may be given to applicants that are Alberta residents. Food & Lodging is provided while on shift rotation.
Full 100% company paid benefits and an employee/employer shared RRSP program are both available after successful completion of the required 6 month probationary period. Positions may be dependent on successful pre-access testing.
Qualifications:
- Food Safe certification preferred;
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of the team through personal behavior, work contribution and sharing of expertise and knowledge;
- Detail oriented when cleaning all areas assigned to the position;
- Good communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivation, confidence, discretion, and good judgment;
- Excellent comprehension and command of the English language; (written & verbal);
- Capable of working long hours on your feet under minimal supervision;
- Ability lifting loads of up to 50 pounds;
- Welcoming and friendly attitude when working in all areas and around guests.
Primary Purpose Of The Position:
- Keeping the front area of the dining area clean and stocked daily while ensuring quality cleaning of dishes and pots and pans is met at all times.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Clean all tables and chairs in the dining room daily;
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, storage areas, and work surfaces;
- Vacuum, mop, and sweep floors within the kitchen and dining room areas;
- Replenish condiments, napkins, and other supplies at tables and serving areas;
- Operate the dishwashing machine to clean dishes, cookware, and flatware;
- Wash, sanitize, and scour pots, pans and dishes by hand;
- Prepare and replenish juice in the fountain machines;
- Assist other kitchen staff with the unloading of groceries on a weekly basis;
- Attend to guest complaints in a quick & professional manner while keeping other guests best interests in mind;
- Fulfill other duties as requested by Supervisor that may be required;
- Act as an ambassador for Noralta Lodge in all dealings with the public and staff;
- To be familiar with and carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with Health & Safety policies approved by Noralta Lodge along with Occupational Health & Safety regulations;
