Job Description
Noralta Lodge Ltd operates many camp style lodges year round throughout northern Alberta, and has many positions available in our efficiently run facilities.
Selected candidates will work on a 21/7 or 14/7 shift rotation as assigned by the Employer. Transportation is provided from Edmonton to lodges therefore preference may be given to applicants that are Alberta residents. Food & Lodging is provided while on shift rotation. Full 100% company paid benefits and an employee/employer shared RRSP program are both available after successful completion of the required 6 month probationary period. Positions may be dependent on successful pre-access testing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience of housekeeping in a hotel or related field;
- Valid First Aid/CPR/WHMIS certification.

- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of the team through personal behavior, work contribution and sharing of expertise and knowledge;
- Excellent Communication (written & verbal) and Interpersonal Skills;
- Self-motivation, confidence, discretion, and good judgment;
- Excellent comprehension and command of the English language; (written & verbal);
- Good physical stamina; capable of working long periods on your feet;
- Ability to withstand crouching, kneeling, stretching, pushing, pulling;
- Professional image with good hygiene;
- Ability to work individually or with different types of people.
Primary Purpose Of The Position:
- Cleaning guest rooms, including bathrooms and hallways in lodges ensuring standards are met at all times.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Change bed linen on a daily basis and make beds;
- Cleaning guest & public bathrooms, shower units as well as vacuuming of rooms halls & entrances;
- Clean walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and doors;
- Clean night rooms for crews working opposite shifts;
- Manage and track lost and found items;
- Empty garbage in guest rooms and in public areas;
- Maintain inventory of check outs for daily cleaning of rooms;
- Complete laundry for bed/linen changes;
- Ensure proper presentation of lodge is met at all times;
- Assist other staff when required to do so;
- Attend to guest complaints in a quick and professional manner while keeping other guests best interests in mind;
- Fulfill other duties as requested by Supervisor that may be required;
- Act as an ambassador for Noralta Lodge in all dealings with the public and staff;
- To be familiar with and carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with Health & Safety policies approved by Noralta Lodge along with Occupational Health & Safety regulations;

Reports To: Head Housekeeper Daily Hours Of Work: 8 hours per day
