Responsibilities/Duties:
- The Standards Technical Manager is a key role in Pharmacy Services and directly reports to the Provincial Program Performance Manager, Business Operations.
- This Position is responsible for the development, implementation, revision and review of provincial policies, procedures, and quality initiatives for Pharmacy Services in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services.
- The Standards Technical Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key policy and procedure stakeholders throughout the province in order to provide support to the strategic objectives of Pharmacy Services.
- Key components of the Standards Technical Manager’s focus are working to attain consistency and integration of provincial policies and procedures, and directing pharmacy functions across Pharmacy Services.
- The Standards Technical Manager is also responsible for strategic planning, operational leadership and relationship management.
Qualifications:
- Must be registered or eligible for registration as a pharmacy technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a hospital pharmacy role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset).
- The successful candidate must also possess a clear pattern of professional and personal development, be an effective communicator with strong organizational skills, and proven leadership in a hospital pharmacy environment, including 2 years experience in a management role in hospital pharmacy operations.
- Experience in policy development is preferred. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Salary/Benefits:
- Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- This position is classified as P2.
- Minimum $51 500.00 to a maximum $72 000.00 annually.
