Job Description
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Superintendent is responsible for efficient planning, organizing and directing the building process of all new homes in a project or subdivision for Rohit Communities in Fort McMurray. The Site Superintendent strives to achieve company objectives while maintaining balance between cost, time, quality and safety.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Managing trades, construction and schedule of work following building code, safety requirements and time deadlines.
- Responsible for assuring quality of all homes built throughout the various stages of construction.
- Delivery of homes professionally by educating customers on operation of all mechanical systems and warranty procedures.
- Accountable for completion of appropriate paperwork during final walkthroughs and possession of home.
- Follow through of corporate safety and construction processes used on all sites.
- Delivery and inspection of all work by trades.
- Customer satisfaction with the delivered product.
- Coordinates and schedules trade and supply logistics on site.
- Responsible for monitoring and assessing quality of homes built on a daily basis.
- Train and supervise Labourers.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- 10 Years experience in single or multi-family residential construction without any formal education.
- 5 years experience in multi-family residential construction with formal education.
- Completion of Civil/Construction Engineering Technologist diploma.
- Knowledge of Construction process, building code and safety code.
Interpersonal and Technical Skill Requirements:
- Capable of basic use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Accurate in documentation and detail orientated.
- Job task planning, decision making and problem solving.
- Able to work with all levels of employees from senior management to subcontractors.
- Recruit and supervise all field staff.
- Able to use tools and has a “hands on” approach.
