The Position
Swift Worldwide Resources is currently recruiting for 2 experienced Buyers (CSU) for our client's on-site operation in Fort McMurray. This is a contract position approx 6 months depending on the needs of the project and will be based on the project site. Anticipated start date - Mid Jan 2011
This Position Is Only Open To Canadian Nationals
Requirements:
- Experience in Oil and Gas or related industry a must.
- Contract Formation Experience in Construction and Services a must.
- Extensive Exp. with industry material and supply base.
- Exposure to JDE ERP system (particularly purchasing) would be an asset
- Proficiency with MS office tools (Excel, Word & Outlook).
- Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management policies and procedures is required.
Educational Requirements:
- CPP or equivalent certification a definite asset.
- Post Secondary Preferred.
Other:
Principal Tasks:
- Procurement of goods for the Plant Maintenance & OPS team with some contract formation requirements.
- Involves interaction with key clients and peers to ensure daily priorities are met to maintain reliability of the operation.
As part of this role:
- Placing of orders for Plant Maintenance group, and working with Suppliers, Planners and Stock Analysis to resolve discrepancies.
- General materials procurement for maintenance and operations and communicating to supplier order management expectations.
- Provide commercial expertise to clients and ensure that corporate and local procurement policies, procedures and guidelines are followed.
- Procurement processes bid preparation & evaluation, recommendations, contract execution and administration.
