Responsibilities:
  • Support field operations in all aspects including cost controls, planning, scheduling and estimating.
  • Become thoroughly knowledgeable with the project's contract documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work. 
  • Assist in the development of the project master schedule with input from other project management personnel.
  • Prepare and transmit submittals (drawings, materials, vendors) to client for approval.
  • Write requisitions and purchase orders; follow up with suppliers and expedite deliveries.
  • Monitor receiving, warehousing functions and material control.
  • Receive and log-in drawings and other contract documents, maintain document control log; ensure that current drawings are issued to the field; void drawings are retrieved and filed as required.
  • Field estimating/change orders as well as change management procedures.
  • Perform any other job related duty as requested by supervisor.
  • Review and integrate technological opportunities.
  • Provide leadership in safety and quality performance and ensure due diligence in client and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the development of monthly/yearly resource and revenue forecasting and budgets and cost reporting.
  • Reporting to Project Managers divisional concerns, issues and performance of the project.
  • Respond to information requests from Estimating in preparation of bids.
  • Communicate with the customer during project execution.
Qualifications:
  • Five to ten years experience relating to industrial and/or infrastructure construction.
  • Engineering degree (Civil, Mining) or equivalent experience.
  • Construction industry experience is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills including excel and other Microsoft packages.
  • Considerable knowledge of industry-accepted standards, guidelines, procedures, and practices.
  • Knowledge of project execution activities such as planning, project controls, scheduling and costing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
