Job Description

Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Shift
Salary: $30.00 to $40.00 Hourly for 60 hours per week, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: 2012/04/01
Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta (20 vacancies )
 
Skill Requirements
 
Education:

• Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

 
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):

• Insulator Trade Certification

 
Experience:

• 5 years or more

 
Languages:

• Speak English

 
Major Work Area:

• Construction,
• Maintenance,
• Repair,
• Installation

 
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience:

• Industrial

 
Types of Systems:

• Vessels and boilers,
• Refrigeration,
• Hot water systems and equipment

 
Specific Skills:

• Measure and cut to required dimensions,
• Apply and secure insulation using appropriate installation method,
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs

 
Security and Safety:

• Basic security clearance

 
Own Tools/Equipment:

• Steel-toed safety boots

 
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Physically demanding,
• Handling heavy loads,
• Standing for extended periods,
• Bending, crouching, kneeling

 
Work Site Environment:

• Noisy,
• Odours,
• Dusty,
• Hot

 
Essential Skills:

• Oral communication,
• Working with others
