The Position
Our client provides a full range of industrial and construction services including: civil, electrical and mechanical services of piping, insulation, scaffolding and module fabrication and is currently looking for a Project Controls Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate analysis as to schedule slippages and cost variances.
- Coordinate the team’s development of all deliverable’s integrity and frequencies
- Ensure that all Project Controls activities are in accordance with set project procedures and job instructions.
- Preparation of schedules, cost reports, cash flow, and variance analysis
- Lead in the development of all reports indicated in the corporate reporting procedures as well as the client business requirements
- Discuss the cause-and-effect of schedule slippage and cost variances.
- Response to corporate office requests with regards to Project Controls deliverables and special studies
- Liaise on all Project Controls dealings and coordination, with client Project Controls requirements
- Attend weekly/monthly coordination meetings. Highlight adverse schedule and cost variances for corrective actions
- Ensure and provide support to the Change Management system for both Schedule and cost an that this function is in line with corporate and/or project procedures
- Perform other related Project controls functions as required by the program director, such as assuming the roles and responsibilities of absent team members
Qualifications:
- Five, or more, years of experience working within Project Controls Lead position
- University education.
- Experience working within an Industrial Construction environment
- Strong coordination and organization skills, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to set and manage priorities to meet all deadlines
- Strong problem solving
Additional Information
- Ideal candidate will be available for 14/7 Rotation schedule for Fort McMurray site assignments.
- Travel is provided form Edmonton to Project site assignment.
