The Position
 
Account Managers
 
Temporary Power & Cooling Systems Edmonton and Fort McMurray based
 
One of the fastest growing global corporations to come into Canada requires individuals with proven territory management capabilities and experience calling on major industries. Knowledge of mechanical/electrical requirements in the pulp & paper, mining and oil & gas industry would be an asset.
 
Due to expansion we presently have positions based in Edmonton and Fort McMurray.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Provide an internal/external business development function at an expert level in order to locate and evaluate potential new opportunities that are central to the company's strategic plan
  • Direct company products and services to senior level decision makers at existing and potential new customers on national, regional and local area levels
  • Conduct studies of process opportunities that fit with the strategic plan of the company
  • Assist in planning and directing sales programs to promote new markets and improve competitive position
  • Implement progressive sales strategies in order to develop and increase client base through strong client relationships
  • Develop customer partnerships and senior management relationships
  • Provide resource sharing and support network for process opportunities for international communication channel
  • Mentor and/or coach local sales representatives in approach and technique as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of company equipment and applications
  • Communicate information with appropriate colleagues concerning collections, estimated revenues of contracts and overall activity with customer accounts
  • Conduct customer workshops to facilitate understanding of resources and opportunities
  • Keep abreast of technology and equipment
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor's activity
  • Embrace and promote safe work practices at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Post secondary education required with a stable work history.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as compressors, pumps, heat exchangers and vessels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated team player with ability and desire to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
