Since 1990, Teamco Construction Services Ltd. provides the construction staffing needs of WorleyParsonsCord, an open shop merit contractor that offers extensive construction experience in the energy industry across Western Canada. WorleyParsonsCord operates as either a fully integrated EPC service provider or as a standalone general contractor, and has a proven track record of project delivery in oil and gas transmission, gas processing, petrochemicals, power generation and heavy oil sectors.
Teamco personnel work at multiple client sites, as well as at four modularization and fabrication facilities located in Edmonton and Blackfalds Alberta. These WorleyParsonsCord owned facilities have a combined capacity to stage over 425 modules annually, making WorleyParsonsCord one of the premier providers of modularization services in Western Canada.
We have immediate openings for permanent full-time PROJECT CONTROLLERS to work in Fort McMurray, Edmonton, and Blackfalds, Alberta.
Typical Duties
- Develop and maintain project schedules in consultation with the project schedules in consultation with the project management and project team to meet all project team, client and management requirements.
- Configure, implement and control the project cost system in consultation with Project Management to meet all project team, client and management requirements.
- Overall management and coordination of the project team throughout the various phases and lifecycle of the project.
- Lead the flow of man-hour, cost and quantity related project data, including incurred labour, man-hours and costs, procurement costs and construction costs between various project management systems.
- Integrating with construction management systems where applicable to ensure the seamless transition of project controls data to the overall project control system.
- Preparing and maintaining project control documentation including schedule update, cost, reports, cash flow forecasts, progress curves and histograms.
- Understanding risk management processes and conduct qualitative and quantitative schedule or cost risk analysis.
Job Requirements:
- A degree or diploma in business, science or engineering preferred
- 5 - 10 years of professional experience in planning, scheduling, cost control or risk analysis functions preferred
- Experienced in scheduling, planning, project process, construction and cost control with an EPC environment.
- Must have experience managing and coordinating major oil and gas projects requiring multi-discipline and multi-functional support.
- Proficiency using a quantitative risk analysis tools such as PERTMASTER
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling software Primavera 6
- Experience with InControl would be considered an asset
- This position requires good communication and negotiation skills, teamwork and analytical thinking
- Must be able to work independently and be comfortable interfacing with various levels of management and personnel
Reporting and Location:
- This position reports directly to the Manager of Project Controls.
- Various locations in Alberta
Additional Information
- The rate of pay is $40.50 to $58.50 hourly depending on experience.
- Overtime is payable after working 40 hours per week.
- If working on a project site near Fort McMurray, you will be entitled to Camp Accommodation and a Northern Alberta Allowance.
