Salary: $16.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Gratuities, Medical Benefits

Skill Requirements
 
Education:

• Completion of high school

 
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):

Experience:

• Will train

 
Languages:

• Speak English,

Business Equipment and Computer Applications:

• Point-of-sale system

 
Weight Handling:

• Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

 
Work Setting:

• Restaurant, Hotel, Pub

 
Food and Beverage Serving Skills:

• Serve food and beverages, general plate service,
• Prepare and serve flambés and other specialties at customers' tables,
• Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings,
• Describe menu items including daily specials for customers

 
Wine and Stewarding/Serving Skills:

• Describe and advise on wine selection,
• Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware,
• Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware

 
Additional Skills:

• Customer service oriented,
• Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages,
• Address customers' complaints or concerns,
• Assist customers with special needs,
• Balance cash and record sales,
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs,
• Load buspans and trays,
• Set tables,
• Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas,
• Replace linen

 
Transportation/Travel Information:

• Public transportation is available
