The Fort McKay Group of Companies LP is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Lead for Fort McKay Strategic Services LP - Muskeg Mountain Division. The Team Lead will report to the General Foreman or Designate, the Team Lead is accountable for supervising the operation of the Mine Services in a safe and efficient manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Fort McKay Group of Companies LP.
This is a permanent full-time position located north of Fort McMurray, AB.
Role and Responsibilities

- Practical understanding of and well-developed skills in open pit mine operations
- Ability to provide input to and implement policies and procedures
- Ability to identify problems; analyze and identify alternative solutions, consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals
- Ability to provide construction progress reports to clients.
- Read, analyze and evaluate written materials and statistical data including reports, financial reports, and budget
- Strong organization skills such as multi-tasking, set and reset priorities
- Must be flexible and work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Must be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with an unexpected occurrence or delay
- Strong interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and supervisory skills
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to minimize and resolve conflicts
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current training in behavior based HSE principles, Leadership, Mine Planning and Scheduling
- Experience in Heavy Equipment operations is essential
- CSTS and OSSA is required
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in mining or civil construction is required
- Ability to follow construction designs is required
- Minimum of five (5) years in supervisory/leadership capacity
- Familiarity with Construction Mythology and Surveying is essential.
- Current valid Class five (5) drivers license or better with clean driving abstract
- Strong computer skills such as the ability to use Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and the Internet comfortably
Working Conditions:
Site Environment with exposure to dust, loud noise from equipment, uneven walking and driving surfaces and temperatures ranging from 30? Celsius to -30? Celsius.
