Position Type/ Hours: This is a permanent full-time position working forty (40) hours per week working within Fort Chipewyan.

Primary Location: Canada-Alberta-Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo
The Position
With some independence, perform general labourer duties in the repair and maintenance of the Municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- One (1) year directly related experience in water/sewer underground systems maintenance is an asset.
- Pipe-laying experience is an asset.
- Valid Class Five (5) Alberta Driver’s license is required (clear driving record an asset).
- Class Five (5) Alberta Driver’s license with a Q brake endorsement is a preferred asset.
- Class Three (3) Alberta Driver’s license with a Q brake endorsement is a preferred asset.
- Ability to understand and perform verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to learn or knowledge of safety precautions, procedures, methods and techniques employed in the industry.
- Must be medically and physically able to perform all of the duties of this position on an ongoing basis.
- Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions and in an unsanitary environment. Immunizations are strongly recommended.
Salary/ Benefits & Compensation
Pay / Classification Level: PL 9
Salary Range:
- $31.06 (Probationary Rate)
- $33.92 – $36.24 (Permanent Rates)
