Position Type/ Hours: This is a permanent full time position working thirty five (35) hours per week.

Primary Location: Canada-Alberta-Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo
 
The Position
 
With independent action, provide administrative/clerical support services to include; research; assemble and summarize data; filing system, and record retention; respond to inquiries; produce correspondence, reports.  Perform court-related clerical duties and attend court for docket matters and swear documents.  Act as a liaison for the RCMP with the Crown Prosecutors office and the Court House.  Maintain records and filing system.  Respond to inquiries from other detachments and/or other police forces and Government agencies.
 
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency, is required.
  • One (1) year Office Administration Certificate or equivalent certificate program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years office administration experience to include word processing, data entry, filing and general office duties.
  • Legal/Law Enforcement background an asset.
  • Above average communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and accomplish multiple tasks with deadlines.
  • Above average keyboarding skills, with a high degree of accuracy is required.
  • Ability to preserve confidential information.
  • Ability to use sound judgment, remain calm and courteous during stressful situations.
  • Must have valid Alberta Class (5) Five Driver’s license.
  • Must be physically able to perform all duties associated with the position
  • Ability to acquire and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Clearance is essential.
 
Salary / Benefits & Compensation
 
Pay / Classification Level: PL 12
 
Salary Range:
  • $31.83 (Probationary Rate)
  • $34.80 – $37.29 (Permanent Rates)
