WorleyParsonsCord Ltd. is seeking a Business Development Representative to work with the growing Business Development team. 
 
Reports to:  Manager, Subcontract Administration, EPC Projects

Function:

 
The Junior Subcontract Administrator is responsible for providing ongoing support to the Manager, Subcontract Administration and the EPC Procurement Specialist(s) / Contracts Administrator(s) while maintaining the highest level of safety and ethics.
 
Relationship:
 
The Junior Subcontract Administrator reports directly to the Manager, Subcontract Administration, EPC Projects in all matters. In functional duties, the incumbent will liaise with all departments including project and site construction managers, Procurement and Contracts, Estimating, Project Controls, Finance and other internal and external customers of Cord.

Role and Responsibilities

 
Duties of the Junior Subcontract Administrator will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Support in maintaining an efficient and effective supply chain base through the ongoing administration of suppliers and subcontractors including relative databases, i.e., Subcontractor Prequalification database,
  • Preferred Partnering Agreement database, Approved Supplier / Subcontractor database, etc.
  • This will include support in the development, implementation and execution of processes with internal and external customers to address all items related to Subcontractor prequalification.
  • Support in the evaluation of qualified suppliers / subcontractors through the analysis of financial status, capacities, quality, general technical capabilities and improvements, management, performance, delivery trends and costing.
  • Support in the implementation and training in relation to the Cord computerized field procurement system.
  • Provide support in the planning, facilitating, developing, evaluation, recommendation,  and clarification of RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ’s and other competitive proposal requests.
  • Purchase order placement and general subcontract administration and coordination of approved and authorized proposals / agreements.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies, procedures and codes, i.e., Corporate Code of Conduct.
  • Research and source alternate products and/or services as directed.
  • Perform routine expediting for all procured materials, goods and services, as required.
  • Following established procedures and processes, obtain all required Certificates of Insurances including the development and maintenance of a relative database.
  • Undertake specifically assigned projects relating to the procurement and contract functions and provide summaries, reports, business cases and recommendations on projects along with other activities as required.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications:
  • Minimum three (3) years supply chain / procurement / contract experience in a manufacturing, oil & gas or construction environment.
  • At a minimum the applicant should possess a Level II PMAC accreditation along with a Grade 12 education. 
  • Preference will be given to those candidates with PMAC accreditation (C.P.P.) Business Administration Diploma, applicable degree and / or specific education in the areas of Accounting, Business Planning and Operations, Business/Contract Law, Commerce and Management Theories.  
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledgeable in Supply Chain Management processes utilized in manufacturing, oil & gas and / or construction environments.
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to focus decisions on Overall Customer and Business Impact.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Maturing negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work productively with nominal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to influence decisions and results without alienating people or being adversarial.
  • Computer literate, in all Microsoft office products.
