Overview:
Under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance, the Mine Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of Acuren Group Inc. inspectors, technicians, engineers, and sub-contractors working at client mining facilities.
The mine maintenance activities will be directed at opportunities to provide reliability solutions for Trucks, Shovels, and Auxiliary mining equipment. The Mine Maintenance Manager will also have a secondary role overseeing the engineering activities completed across all of the maintenance activities in Fort McMurray. The Mine Maintenance Manager will control all Field Engineering Services activities as well as be a liaison for the Bretech brand of services and a liaison for failure investigations completed by the full service metallurgical labs in Canada.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Supervisors, Technicians, Inspectors, and Engineers providing services on behalf of Acuren in Mine Maintenance activities.
- Respond on a daily basis to inquiries made by Clients.
- Provide technical guidance, direction, mentoring, training, and skills development to technicians reporting to your group.
- Ensure that minimum staffing levels are maintained at all times to support routine work and emergency callouts.
- Act as the single point contact for all services provided by Acuren in the mine.
- Review and approve timesheets and Field Level Risk Assessments, correct deficiencies and provide feedback to technicians.
- Maintain a record of and ensure reliability of all vehicles being used in Mine Maintenance activities.
- Participate in Internal and Client-led procedural and process safety and quality audits.
- Conduct periodic customer service audits. All feedback should be documented and an action log developed for continuous improvement opportunities; implement continuous improvement strategies to strengthen Acuren/ client relations.
- Attend all Contract management meetings applicable to mining and engineering activities.
- Provide services and consultation, in your area of expertise, to client as requested.
What you will bring:
- 15 years of experiences in a Mining environment OR a University degree with 3 years of experiences in a Mining environment
- Must have excellent time management, interpersonal, computer and project management skills.
- Class 5 drivers Licence and clean drivers abstract.
