Position Summary:
 
The Engineering Technologist- Maintenance is responsible for coordinating maintenance and repairs for all Environmental Fluid Solutions equipment on fast paced sites.  This position is responsible for coordinating the maintenance schedules and for monitoring the assembly of dredges and other pumping equipment.
 
Based out of our Fort McMurray operation, this salaried position will report directly to our Site Supervisor. There are advancement opportunities within the CEDA group of companies for those who demonstrate ambition and excellence.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating manpower and equipment requirements by evaluating and maximizing existing resources
  • Coordinating production scheduling and planning
  • Coordinating and scheduling preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Working directly with Site Supervisor, Maintenance Manager to direct maintenance repair schedules on site
  • Ensuring adherence to CEDA and Occupational Health and Safety standards
  • Working with Technologists and Technical Assistants to ensure manufacturing changes are tracked and updated
  • Providing mentorship and training to employees
  • Collaborating with a manufacturing group to help resolve manufacturing/assembly issues as required
Role Specifications
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) certification
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling is an asset
  • Prior experience working on large-scale projects is an asset
  • Able to travel throughout Alberta
  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to schedule and track multiple projects from conception to completion
  • Versed in the Microsoft Office suite, excellent Excel skills
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Produce a clean and current driver’s abstract
  • Produce a clean criminal record check
