Role and Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide both individual and family focused patient care.
**Several positions with various FTE's**
Qualifications:
Formal Education:
- Must hold an active practice permit as a Nurse Practitioner, Family All Ages with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing required
- Masters degree in nursing preferred
- Current ACLS and BTLS certification required
- 3-5 years recent RN nursing experience as well as primary health care experience an asset
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Provide quality, comprehensive and integrated primary health services in a team based environment;
- Apply principles of primary health care in providing health services;
- Practice autonomously and collaboratively in providing primary health services;
- Promote and support health enhancing behavior;
- Engage in collaborative practice arrangements with primary care physicians and inter-professional team
- Provide primary health services within the scope of practice for nurse practitioners approved by the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta
- Provide leadership in the development and delivery of primary health programs and services;
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility within a complex and rapidly changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated computer competence
Additional Information:
- Vehicle Required - Required to provide a vehicle for business use; along with acceptable driver's abstract and proof of business insurance
- Driver's License Required
