Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating maintenance repair and placement of substation high voltage equipment.
• Maintain and repair high voltage equipment on overhead and underground 34.5 Kv distribution (power and distribution transformers, disconnect switches, power distribution centers, fuses, lighting and emergency generators).
• Responsible for operation and switching of high voltage equipment 260/72/34.5/13.8 Kv.
• Provide technical assistance to operations.
• Perform tasks including, protective relay, metering testing, calibration, equipment thermo scanning, equipment isolation, switching and voltage measurement, cable testing and repair and utilization of various electrical
• Test equipment
• Operation of electrical distribution management system.

• Power System Electrician Certificate or Electrical Journeyman Certificate is required.
• 5-10 years power systems electrician experience or experience in substations.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving with high voltage equipment.
