The Position
Stantec’s Fort McMurray Alberta office is currently seeking an Survey Party Chief to work on Land Development, Transportation and Legal Survey projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with engineers, Alberta Land Surveyors and contractors to complete projects.
- Mentoring and supervising junior staff in construction surveys.
- Maintaining a new truck and a complete suite of modern survey equipment.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following
- Survey Technology diploma from a recognized post secondary institution.
- Minimum of 2-4 years survey experience in land development engineering, transportation and construction.
- Proficiency and experience with Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Station.
- Preference will be given to those candidates who hold a diploma in Geomatics or equivalent work experience.
- Clean driving record is required.
