*In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

The Secretary I position will provide clerical/secretarial support to meet program and service delivery needs of assigned area.

  • Assembles educational materials and brochures for programs;
  • Performs data mangement duties including data collection; produces routine reports and completes statistical summary reports as required;
  • Organizes meetings, prepares agendas, records meetings and transcribes minutes;
  • Assists with financial transactions including maintaining petty cash, collecting fees and payments;
  • Order departmental supplies;
  • Schedule and books follow up appointment for clinets;
  • Performs client registrations data as required;
  • Knowledge of CBORD Nutrition and Food Service Software is an asset;
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma;
  • Secretarial/Office training an asset;
  • Data Base Management/Filing experience an asset;
  • Minimum 2 years experience at a secretarial level;
  • Experience working with computers;
  • Knowledge of office processes and equipment;
  • Minute taking ability;
  • Keyboarding 50 wpm;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint;
  • Demonstrated organizational and communication skills;
  • Accurate data entry skills.
