INFORMATION LIBRARIAN
 
The Keyano College Library and Educational Resources Department is currently seeking an experienced, innovative individual to assume the responsibilities of this key faculty position. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing August 11, 2008.
 
Reporting to the Director of Library & Educational Resources, the Information Librarian will provide reference services, faculty research assistance, and supervision of three public service staff. This position also provides services to the college's outlying campuses.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will possess an M.L.I.S or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution. Three years' experience in an automated library environment is preferred with a demonstrated expertise in a wide variety of electronic resources, bibliographic instruction, collection development and library reference work.  Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation, flexibility, and proven organizational skills are essential for this position. Equivalencies in library experience may be considered.
 
SALARY: The Information Librarian is a member of the Keyano College Faculty Association and the terms and conditions of appointment are governed by the collective agreement. Placement on the salary scale will be based on education and years of experience.
