The Position
Our client, a large Owner / Operator / Producer in the Oil & Gas industry, is looking to hire a Cost Accountant for a contract position in Fort McMurray, Alberta. As a Cost Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of Accountants and gain professional experience with a reputable company.
As a Cost Analyst your responsibilities will include:
- Capturing and reporting project costs.
- Assisting with monthly cost and variance reporting.
- Ensuring that term agreements and financial reporting requirements are met.
- Assisting in the preparation of the annual operating plan
Your background skills and qualifications in Accounting will include:
- Accounting degree; working towards or have a designation.
- Accounting experience (accruals, budgeting, reporting):
- Knowledge and experience utilizing AOP process
- Experience with SAP for cost tracking and reporting
- Understanding of key financial controls, and joint venture accounting procedure.
