Janitorial Team Lead (Weekend and Statutory Holida #31737

Denesoline Janitorial LP is now accepting applications for a Team Lead to join our Syncrude Site division. The position will consist of day shifts, 5:4/4:5, 7:30am to 7:30pm. This full time position will consist of Team Lead duties during weekend and statutory holiday shifts, while the remaining hours within the scope of janitorial duties.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor the Team Lead will be responsible for the supervision of employees.   As a Team Lead you will be expected to assist the Site Supervisor in the day to day field activities of the individual team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all calls from field personnel
  • Transport employees to areas as needed
  • Address performance issues with employees, document and submit to Site Supervisor
  • Interact daily with Janitorial field staff to ensure proper time and attendance of employees
  • Supply and ensure all employees have the P.P.E. required to perform their tasks
  • Accompany any injured employee to the Medical Center on site
  • Document any and all incidents, near miss reports or safety issues to Site Supervisor
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks, weekly safety meetings
  • Ensure all employees perform formal FLRA’s each shift and submit to Site Supervisor
  • Ensure all necessary time and attendance is coordinated with the Supervisor
  • Ensure all site required paperwork is submitted in to the Site Supervisor
  • Load and unload laundry, supplies and deliver to areas as needed
  • Ensure adequate level of supplies for main storage area
  • Quality/quantity control on all supplies & equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 5 drivers licence and clean drivers abstract
  • Previous supervisory experience an asset
  • Strong organizational and effective time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks
  • Clear and precise verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to details
Pre-employment Requirements:
  • Drug, Alcohol and Audio pre-screening test
  • Class 5 License, Clean Driver’s Abstract (current within 30 days)
