Founded in 2001 by John van der Werf, a well recognized journeymen technician with over 30 years of experience in the heavy equipment trade, the company has steadily grown in the past 10 years to become a heavy equipment service, sales and rentals company.

With this in mind Dutchmen Equipment and Rentals Inc. now employs a number of qualified staff including licensed shop and field technicians, welders, sales staff, and office personnel. The goal of Dutchmen Equipment and Rentals Inc. is to maintain customers equipment, as well as our own rental equipment to the best of our ability. Dutchmen Equipment and Rentals Inc. is growing and requires experienced and safety oriented Heavy Duty Field Mechanics. In this role you will work on a flexible schedule for Field Mechanics. You will be responsible for carrying out skilled journeyman level work.
This will involve:
- Performing hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment;
- Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic troubles;
- Making repairs according to the manufacturers specifications;
- Assisting apprentices and other employees with helping them develop the skills of the trade.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, you are a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician who has at least 5 years of experience.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge and the ability to carry out all aspects of heavy duty repairs is essential, as is being physically and mentally fit and be capable of the demands of the job.
- A skilled individual with initiative, diligence and reliability, you also have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Salary/ Benefits & Compensation
You will be rewarded with an attractive hourly rate of $43 - $47 per hour (depending on experience). In addition to your salary, at Dutchmen Equipment and Rentals Inc. you will receive the following excellent benefits:
