Accommodations – Oilsands Division is currently seeking candidates for the position of Human Resources Manager, reporting to the Director, Human Resources.
·         Oversee all of the human resource operations and processes for the Oilsands Division 
·         Support effective employee/labor relations activities by maintaining a strong focus on customer service, knowledge of the collective agreement, employment terms and relevant employee/labor legislation
·         Provide consultation and advice to managers on a variety of employee relations and human resource issues, including performance management, attendance and disability management, progressive discipline, terminations, ethical or harassment concerns, and conflict resolution
·         Advise and assist managers on the interpretation and administration of company policies, programs and best practices
·         Participate in discussions with operating management through team meetings, and business planning sessions
·         Assist operating management in the identification of training & development needs of staff, and participate in the succession management process for the Oilsands Division
·         Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the Human Resources staff assigned to the Oilsands Division
·         Ensure continuity of effective human resource practices, and compliance with all relevant legislative requirements
·         Provide metrics and reports on human resources activities for the Oilsands Division
·         Remain current with best practices, legislative changes and industry standards
·         Complete special projects as assigned by the Director, Human Resources
 
Qualifications
·         Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, or other related discipline, or equivalent combination of education & experience
·         CHRP designation desired
·         10+ years of experience as a human resources generalist, with a minimum of 3 years of management/supervisor experience
·         Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization
·         Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment
·         Exemplary interpersonal & communication skills
·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·         Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills
·         Flexible team player with ability to work successfully in a matrix reporting environment
·         Well-developed leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
·         Proficient with MS Office programs
·         Valid driver’s license
