Fitness and Wellness Manager
Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre
The Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre at Keyano College requires an enthusiastic, experienced individual for the position of Fitness and Wellness Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing July 21, 2008.
The Fitness and Wellness Manager is a senior level position, part of the Sport and Wellness Management Team, reporting directly to the Executive Director, that is responsible for the overall management, direction, planning and supervision of programs and fitness and wellness services for the entire Syncrude Sport and Wellness membership. This position is also responsible for the child minding area, birthday party programs and will manage the strategic delivery of fitness and wellness programs and services to a projected 1200 members and over 900,000 visitors per year. The incumbent will manage a team of 7 FTE's and an estimated 40 part time positions. The primary responsibility is to ensure strategic development and management of programs and services, delivering exceptional customer service.
The individual we are seeking has excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management and supervisory skills. They will have great initiative, which enables them to work independently and in a strong team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have a degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Kinesiology and/or related degree. The candidate should have at least 5 years of supervisory experience preferably with an emphasis in fitness and wellness, programming and marketing. Fitness Trainer, CPT, CEP Certifications would be an asset. Overtime and weekend hours are required. The incumbent will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated organizational skills. Security Clearance will be required for this position.
SALARY: $73,840-$82,680 per annum plus an attractive benefits package.
