INSTRUCTOR
HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN
Keyano College is currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to become a Heavy Equipment Technician Instructor in our Trades and Heavy Industrial Training Division. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing immediately.
The successful candidate will be required to instruct, evaluate and develop students in all aspects of the Heavy Equipment Technician Trade, including the extensive delivery of theory and shop methods in relationship to industry specific training in the Heavy Equipment Technician Trades and Apprenticeships as well as classroom and shop preparation
QUALIFICATIONS: Alberta Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate/Interprovincial Red Seal status. Advanced knowledge in hydraulics, electrical, or fuel injection would be of great benefit. A valid class 5 driver's license is required. A minimum of five years post Journeyperson experience in an Industrial/Commercial setting. Instructional experience is an asset. Previous experience on both off road (construction) and highway equipment preferred. Also experience in a training environment, or shop management is a benefit.
SALARY: Includes an attractive benefits package. Placement on the salary scale will be dependent upon education and experience.
