Originally opened in 1965, Keyano College is a board governed community college located in Fort McMurray. The College employs over 400 full and part-time employees in faculty, support and administrative positions, and provides services to over 9,000 credit and non-credit students at three campuses and several regional learning centres. Keyano is recognized as an innovator in partnerships with industry and in educational programming, and as a leader in client-specific training.
INSTRUCTOR POSITION
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT
The City of Fort McMurray is a vibrant, urban community, and the major commercial, cultural, and recreational centre for the oil sands region in Alberta, and headquarters for The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The City has experienced unprecedented development and growth as a result of tremendous investment in the oil sands.
Keyano College is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to instruct courses in a variety of accounting and general business topics including Introductory Accounting, Business Mathematics, Introductory Computing and other related areas. This individual will be part of a dynamic academic team and as such will have an opportunity to contribute to the success of departmental initiatives. In addition to department initiatives and developmental opportunities, duties will include course preparation, student evaluation, curriculum development, and student recruitment. This full-time, permanent position will commence August 11, 2008.
QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates possessing an MBA and at least two years' teaching experience at a post-secondary level.
SALARY: $65,305 - $99,138 per annum (based on 200 work days per year). Placement on the salary scale will be based on educational and experiential qualifications.
