Engineering Department
 
This is a permanent, full-time position working thirty-five (35) hours per week.
 
Provide engineering analysis, survey, design, construction supervision and project management of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo's engineering works; review and comment on development proposals, design reports and engineering studies submitted by consultants and other development agencies; ensure Municipal and public interests are protected.
 
Qualifications:
 

• Civil/Construction/Engineering Diploma from a recognized technical institute or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eligible for membership in the Alberta Society of Engineering Technologists (A.S.E.T.).
• Minimum of three (3) years Civil Engineering experience two (2) years of which shall be in municipal engineering design, construction and contract administration.
• Demonstrated experience/familiarity or training in microcomputer applications.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capable of achieving self-set goals and targets with limited supervision together with a mature personality and the motivation and commitment to effectively carry out required responsibilities.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid class five (5) Alberta driver's license.
• Must be medically and physically fit.
• Salary 35.33 (probationary)
• 38.77 – 41.56 (Permanent)
