This is a permanent, full-time position working thirty-five (35) hours per week.
 
You will provide counselling services to residents of Fort McMurray and surrounding area. Other duties include collaborating with associate counsellors in diagnostic and treatment planning, liaising with other community agencies, coordinating community projects, developing and presenting in-service training and public education programs, and assisting with general administrative duties.
 
Qualifications:
 

• You offer a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Social Sciences with a minimum of three (3) years experience in individual, couple, group and/or family counselling along with familiarity in the area of psychiatric illness. (Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.)
• Registration in appropriate Professional Association is required.
• Training & experience in family violence and Critical Incident Stress Management would be an asset.
• You have highly developed communication, analytical and problem solving skills and are able to successfully acquire R.C.M.P. Security Clearance.
• Salary $69,042 - $87,824
