The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo has an exciting and challenging career opportunity for Fire Fighter/EMT-P's and Fire Fighter/EMT-A's.
The Fort McMurray Fire Department, like the region it serves, is entering an era of exciting change and growth.
The Fort McMurray Fire Department will be conducting pre-employment testing in January 2008 for Paramedics and EMT-A's to be placed on an eligibility list for employment commencing approximately mid March 2008. Candidates will be contacted regarding the details of the testing and interview process. An outline of the testing procedures can be found on our website: www.woodbuffalo.ab.ca
Qualifications:
- Must be registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics as a EMT-P or EMT-A (This is a mandatory requirement in order to be considered for this opportunity)
- Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certifications
- Valid Class Four (4) Alberta driver's license (Class Three (3) with "Q" endorsement an asset)
- Fire Fighter training and experience a definite asset
- Salary $27.89 per hour (Fire Fighter/Paramedic Probation)
- $25.94 per hour (Fire Fighter/EMT-A Probation)
